Get answers to common questions about Bikini Waxing.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on hair growth, hormones and individual factors. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hair finer; schedule follow-up appointments to maintain smoothness and timing for best results.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first treatments, but techniques like quick pulls, quality wax and soothing post-care reduce pain. Use gentle exfoliation, avoid caffeine, and consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever beforehand if needed.
Make sure hair is at least a quarter-inch long, exfoliate gently 24-48 hours before, avoid heavy creams or oils on the day, and arrive wearing clean clothing to reduce infection risk.
Ideally hair should be about a quarter-inch to half-inch long so the wax can grip the hair properly. If hair is too short, wait until it grows; if too long, trim slightly for a cleaner, less painful wax.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas and tight clothing for 24 hours, applying a soothing aloe or lotion, exfoliating gently after 48 hours, and avoiding sun exposure to prevent irritation. Keep the area clean and hands off to reduce infection risk.
Ingrown hairs can occur, but proper exfoliation, moisturization and regular waxing reduce their frequency. Treat existing ingrowns with gentle exfoliation, warm compresses and topical treatments; consult us for stubborn cases or professional extraction to avoid scarring.
